Privacy
How Shipping-Wiki.com handles data: no accounts, no personal data collected directly, and Google Analytics for aggregate usage.
Shipping-Wiki.com is a reference encyclopedia and terminology dictionary. It has no user accounts, no login, and no forms that collect personal data. This notice describes the limited data the site processes and the third party involved.
What the site collects directly
Nothing that identifies you. The site serves static pages and does not ask for a name, an email address, or any other personal detail. On-site search runs in your browser through a prebuilt index (Pagefind); your search terms are matched locally and are not sent to the server.
Google Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (the gtag.js tag) to understand aggregate usage: which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and general device, browser, and approximate location (city or region level, derived from the IP address, which Google Analytics 4 does not log or store). Google sets cookies or similar identifiers to count returning visits. The data is processed by Google as described in Google’s Privacy Policy
and how Google uses data from sites that use its services
. The site operator sees only aggregated reports, not individual identities.
To opt out, you can block cookies in your browser, use a content blocker, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on .
No advertising or profiling
The site runs no advertising network, no affiliate tracking, and no cross-site profiling. The only third-party script that observes usage is Google Analytics, described above.
