AMWELSH 93 is the Americanized Welsh Coal Charter, published by the Association of Ship Brokers and Agents (USA) and recommended by BIMCO. It is the standard voyage charter form for coal cargoes and remains the current edition.
The form descends from the Welsh coal trade that gave it its name and retains laytime and cargo handling conventions built around loading rates at coal terminals rather than around general cargo practice.
