The BPI and its five-route P5TC basket, the BPI82 benchmark vessel, the P7 and P8 grain voyage routes, BEP Asia, and the derived Panamax 74 subtraction series.

The Baltic Panamax Index contributes 30 percent of the Baltic Dry Index. Its timecharter average P5TC covers five routes weighted P1A at 0.25, P2A at 0.10, P3A at 0.25, P4 at 0.10 and P6 at 0.30, on the 82,500 tonne deadweight BPI82 benchmark vessel, with the headline index applying a multiplier of 0.111111. The heaviest single weight sits on P6, a Singapore delivery trip of 90 to 105 days via the Atlantic.
