BIMCO's bulk chemical voyage charter, its bills of lading, and its IBC Code interface.
BIMCHEMVOY 2008 is BIMCO’s standard voyage charter party for the carriage of chemicals in bulk in tanker ships, and is the current edition. It pairs with BIMCHEMVOYBILL 2008 and BIMCHEMVOYBILL 2016.
The form addresses matters a general voyage charter does not reach: tank coating and prior cargo compatibility, heating and inerting, pumping and stripping performance, and the segregation requirements that follow from the cargo’s IBC Code classification.
