BIMCO 2020 Marine Fuel Sulphur Content Clause

The BIMCO 2020 Marine Fuel Sulphur Content Clause for Time Charter Parties, published 10 December 2018, allocates sulphur compliance between owners and charterers. It replaced the 2005 Bunker Fuel Sulphur Content Clause.

The clause has three sub-clauses. Sub-clause (b) requires charterers to supply fuels permitting the vessel to comply with the sulphur requirements at all times, to warrant their suppliers, and to indemnify owners, with the vessel on hire. Sub-clause (c) has owners warrant that the vessel will comply.
