Food Security Under the IMO Net-Zero Framework
Draft MARPOL Annex VI regulation 43 requires the IMO Committee to address and keep under review the negative impacts of the Net-Zero Framework on food security.
Draft regulation 43 of the IMO Net-Zero Framework (MEPC/ES.2/2) requires the Committee to address, including avoiding, remedying and mitigating, the disproportionately negative impacts of Chapter 5 on food security, and to keep them under continuous review. Regulation 41.1.2.5 lists the same impacts among the purposes of the Fund.
