The Fuel Lifecycle Label under MEPC.391(81) and draft MARPOL Annex VI regulation 34: the certified lifecycle GHG data that travels with a marine fuel.
The Fuel Lifecycle Label (FLL) is the document that carries a marine fuel’s lifecycle GHG data, introduced by the 2024 LCA Guidelines, resolution MEPC.391(81) of 22 March 2024. Under draft regulation 34 of a new MARPOL Annex VI Chapter 5, the certified information in the FLL may accompany the bunker delivery note required by regulation 18; it does not replace it.
