MEPC 85: IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee, 2026

MEPC 85 is the 85th regular session of the IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee, scheduled for 30 November to 3 December 2026. It follows ISWG-GHG 23 (23 to 27 November 2026) and precedes the resumed MEPC/ES.2 extraordinary session, scheduled for 4 December 2026 subject to confirmation by MEPC 85.

The session is expected to receive the fourth GESAMP-LCA working group report on default emission factors under the MEPC.391(81) LCA Guidelines , which could change the default intensities used against the base target annual GFI .
