Regulation 44 Review of the IMO Net-Zero Framework
Draft MARPOL Annex VI regulation 44 requires a review of the Net-Zero Framework every five years covering reduction factors, ZNZ thresholds and 400 GT ships.
Draft regulation 44 of the IMO Net-Zero Framework requires the Organization to complete a review every five years of the effectiveness of Chapter 5 in achieving the goal in regulation 31. On that basis it considers amending the Table 4 reduction factors for the base target and direct compliance target , amending the ZNZ thresholds, and applying the chapter to ships of 400 gross tonnage and above.
