NORGRAIN 89 is the North American Grain Charter Party, issued by the Association of Ship Brokers and Agents (USA) and recommended by BIMCO. It is the standard voyage form for grain shipments out of North America and remains the current edition.
It carries a companion bill of lading, NORGRAINBILL. Like the other commodity forms it brings trade-specific laytime and cargo handling conventions that differ from general chartering practice, so a recap adopting NORGRAIN imports more than a clause set.
