Riyadh MoU on Port State Control

The Riyadh MoU on port State control, established in June 2004, links six Gulf States: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The Riyadh Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control was established in June 2004 at a meeting in Riyadh. Its six members are Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and its Secretariat is in the Sultanate of Oman, with a merged office in Muscat from 29 April 2007. Section 1.3 of the text sets a 10 percent inspection target to be reached within three years.
