Ship Risk Profile: Paris MoU Annex 7
The Paris MoU Ship Risk Profile scores ships on type, age, flag, RO, company and detention history to set high, standard or low risk inspection windows.
The Ship Risk Profile is the points-based classification in Annex 7 of the Paris MoU that sorts every ship into high, standard or low risk. A ship with 5 or more weighting points is a High Risk Ship; a Low Risk Ship must meet every one of a set of conditions, including a White List flag and a high-performance company.
The full article will cover each generic and historic parameter, the company performance calculation, worked examples, and the changes to the profile expected when the amended EU Port State Control Directive takes effect on 6 July 2027.
