TANKERVOY 87 is BIMCO’s tanker voyage charter party, published in 1987 and still carried in the BIMCO contract catalogue. It is BIMCO’s own alternative to the ASBA and oil-major tanker forms.
It is fixed far less often than ASBATANKVOY or the oil-major forms, which is itself the commercially useful fact: a recap offering TANKERVOY is offering a clause set the counterparty’s demurrage team may not have handled recently, and the printed terms will not match their standard rider.
